Dr. Linda K. Thomas-Glover has been selected to become the fifth president of Eastern Shore Community College, according to this statement from Virginia’s Community Colleges.

Dr. Thomas-Glover “brings to us experience in multiple state community college systems. She is a highly regarded professional and I’m delighted she is going to be the next president of Eastern Shore Community College,” said Glenn DuBois, chancellor of Virginia’s Community Colleges.

Before serving as provost and chief academic officer in Kentucky, Dr. Thomas-Glover was vice president of instruction at Guilford Technical Community College in Jamestown, North Carolina, from 2002-2004. She was division chair for science and mathematics at Guilford from 1998-2002 and chaired the physical sciences department from 1990-1998.

Dr. Thomas-Glover was selected from more than 100 candidates who applied for the position.  It sounds like she is really looking forward to becoming part of the community:

“I am honored to have been selected as the next president of Eastern Shore Community College and am very excited about the opportunity to become a part of the college family – and a part of the community,” said Dr. Thomas-Glover. “My family received such a warm welcome here.  I look forward to calling the Eastern Shore home and continuing to advance the mission of the institution.”
